Haven't been out to the ranch in over a month due to flooding. Going tonight to try why luck, pretty excited my daughters will be joining me for the first time!

Let us know how it goes! I have been fortunate on each trip to my lease in seeing animals and getting a hog or 5....looking forward to the fall/winter hoping the hogs will be less nocturnal and more out in daylight hours for better shot opportunities. Hate to muck around much at night during deer season, never know who might be out poaching.

Well my daughters ditched me for to go with the wife shopping and what not. Kinda glad they did it was rough. Got in the blind and as soon as I did it started pouring down. I got out welt to the cabin for a bit and waited it out. I went for a walk and started seeing lots of activity deer, rabbits, squirrels and turkey but no hogs. Kept moving along and nothing so headed back to the cabin I see oh 20-25 pigs in a field. I sneak up but couldn't get steady enough for a shot. They ran off and well I kept moving along. Half way to the cabin I notice this loan boar I sneak up about 100 yards and take a shot. Hit him behind the shoulder and he ran. I went to where I shot him and there was a big blood trail. Fallow it about 50 or so yards and found him. Had a great birthday hunt!
