Does anyone know if White Wing hunts are conducted south of the border wall? I am planning on relocating to the RGV and am looking for a place on the river to hunt. Prices have bottomed out , but if hunting is still allowed the wall really wouldn't bother me.

I am planning on calling the local GW's and see what they have to say, wondered if anyone here had any experience.

I can't tell you if they do in that area but they do in the URGV Look online or call USIBWC. They will usually put out a map of what areas are available for hunting and between what mile markers/demarcations.

I don't think it's an issue as long as you're still on the US side. When I lived down there I'm pretty sure I hunted one area that was beyond the wall and hunted near by a couple of times.

The USIBWC link is in the sticky at the top of the forum. You will have to scroll back through the press releases to get last years map. I doubt there is one for the upcoming season yet.

There is an issue. Its only allowed in certain areas and it can and does change yearly. Federal controlled land and if its like down here you will see GW's every day and multiple times a day. Its like fish in a barrel to them lol.

The entire valley is that way during dove season, but I don't have an issue with that. Just wondering about access issues with firearms. It would be on property that I would be buying, not on government owned lands.
