A regular media separator. I just tumble it with the pan 2/3 full of water. Then I dump water careful not to loose media and keep adding water to the pan and dumping until I am happy with how clean the media is.

I take the brass from the separator and dump on a towel roll them around lay the towel with brass in the sun and it dries pretty quick.

Just finshed one batch of 350 pieces 6.5 Creedmoor

Yes I use the powder Lemi-Shine and only put in a small amount or it will give your brass a bronze color instead of a nice shiny brass color. A Small Lemi Shine will last a long time.
Then a Tablespoon of Dawn and your good.

I use a lyman media separator. I've been wanting to get a magnet to see if it's any easier, but haven't yet.

I've tired just SS pins, SS Pins with dawn, and SS pins with dawn and lemi shine. In my opinion there is very little difference between the three, most often I use the SS pins with dawn.

If you use a magnet, put the magnet inside a ziplock bag. Then when you have it all attached, you can hold it over your tumbler and pull the bag, which releases the pins from the magnetic force and they fall.

I use a regular media separator. I use the bag/magnet trick to pick up any strays off the floor or inside the separator.

I use the STM separator and the magnet in a zip lock.
Still using the lemi shine that came with the tumbler over 5 years ago. Little goes a long way.
