Who has shot on the long range set up at Fossil Point, Decatur Texas? I've used their 50, 100 and 200 yard range. It looks like one weekend per month they open a 500 and 800 yard range.

I didn't know David had opened it up to the public but I haven't been in a while. He used to do it only when the place was closed because the only place he could get 800 was shooting across the road. He must have figured out another lane.

If that's the case I'd like to get out there and try it out.

Was there today and prequalified @ 200 so that I can shoot next time they open it. They will post on their web site the long range dates. It's prone off of gravel, or your own bench. $35.00, all day, and they set up shade canopies. 2-3 weeks per month is their current plan. Qualify @ 200 for the 500 range, and qualify at 500 to move to 800.

What is the yearly membership cost.

No membership, it's a public range.

I've been to a lot of the area ranges, this one is my favorite. Big on safety of course, but not jerks about it. On their 100 and 200 they have a couple of steel silhouettes if you get bored.
