I cleaned a whole bunch of shotguns last night. Is it better to store them totally clean or run a few rounds through each of them to burn off some oil?

If you fire rounds through them aren't they dirty again? confused2

I store my guns in a totally clean condition with a light coat of oil.

X2. Only gun that gets cleaned religiously is my duty pistol, and it shows. It has rust in places you didn't know could rust. All the others get wiped down before being stored, that's all.

Clean. Light coat of oil. Excess oil removed with a clean rag or patch as necessary.
