Was out hunting yesterday morning and got caught in the rain. When I dried everything off I notice a large amount of water in my scope behind the eye piece lens.

I have tried to unscrew the eye piece but no luck. Scope is less than a year in use.

Any suggestions on drying it out?

Bury it in a bowl of rice for a week. However, if you've got water INSIDE the scope, just box it up and send it to Nikon.

Sent the scope back to nikon, they determined that the scope would be replaced, 12 days ago, still no scope back to me.
Called them 2 times and they said they do not have any scopes to ship and no eta has been given. Next calls will be working my way up the food chain.

They'll make it good. Sometimes they're a bit slow, though. Gotta remember what time of the year it is.

If you send me your full name, contact info, scope model and serial number i will see if I can't help you get a quicker resolution.
I do freelance work for Nikon and know a few folks on the inside who might be able to help you out.
