Has anyone tried putting out decoys of more than one species at the same time?
I have seen doves, deer and turkey at the feeder together. My thinking is having a happy group would be a confidence builder.
Putting a few doves (since doves are no heroes and flee at first movement) near a blind may say all is well here, no worries.
Thoughts?

Mark

Can't hurt to try it. I'd put out some game cams set in video mode to evaluate their reaction to it.

I agree this would be the best but I live in the city, in Arizona.
If I put out a camera and decoys it would not be there when I came back. Plus we have so few deer one might never walk by
I will give it a try in November, I always get to the ranch a few days early and can scare the deer then.

Decoys work well as long as that critter is there
