I hunted in Bosque county and got a couple of very nice deer off of a small property (54 acres). Photos are one year old and the property was between China Springs and just south of the Lake Whitney dam. First year nothing, then put in food plot and feed corn year around. Got one small buck. Theird year is the photos you see. My wifes 7 pt is 20" wide.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

Hunted in Bosque and Coryell counties and both are good counties for some really nice deer. Seems to be small deer is certain parts but with protein and time, we have had some great deer taken.
Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..

It's good hunting. I hunt between the gap and Clifton. See lots of deer and plenty of good bucks. Will upload a pic if I can figure out how to do it from my phone.

I've hunted outside Clifton in Bosque county every year on a good friend's family place for more than 10 years. Bucks are getting better now that antler restrictions have been in place a few years. Used to never see bucks older than 2.5 or so, but that is improving. Numbers vary greatly depending on where you are. The ranch I hunt is not one where each hunter could tag out every year. Population won't support it. This guy came from Bosque county in 2009. 5.5yo, and 130" with the right G4 totally broke off as he was.

Big deer along the Bosque River and the county in general. We hunted there for 12 years and have family in the area. Antler restrictions have helped even more. Great genetics in that area. Populations can be spotty to lots of deer. Oat patches along the river fill up with deer. Lots of hogs too. Spent many a night running TPWD spotlight surveys in Bosque/Hamilton counties. Don't get too hung up in numbers. When you see a buck, it could be a very good one. Rut will be full blown rifle opener every year, strong rut. Bowhunt if you can 10/20 thru rifle opener as well, lots of chasing.

Love Bosque county. Gets better every year. Not much land left to lease though.
