Long post here. Been thinking and working towards this for years. For the past 5 years I’ve been primarily hunting from a 5x5 home-built metal "blind" I built on shoe-string budget. It’s worked fine, and I’ve killed some good deer from it. But, it’s pretty noisy, not too dry or warm, and real tight with more than one person. With two kiddos who like to hunt with daddy, I’ve been dreaming several years about a blind big enough to hold the whole family of 4, and built in such a way that it was warm for kiddos, and tight to keep critters out. I started out thinking I’d build what I wanted. But, once I added up all my materials it resulted in a pretty healthy number, and that didn’t even include my time. So, I started researching other options. That research eventually led me to fiberglass. Fiberglass has many advantages for a deer blind shell: strong, light, won’t ever rot or rust, and somewhat affordable when looking at the long term. I set out analyzing all the fiberglass blind builders out there, and one builder rose to the top in my view: Boss Game Systems. Boss builds them right. They do a few things that I didn’t see in others. I reached out to Boss to see if they were interested in building what I had designed: a custom 5x8 with a modified trapezoidal front shooting wall. They were game, so we got things moving. I gave these guys a total custom request along with a dimensioned drawing. They responded by building exactly what I requested. Once I got her home, it was time for my own customizations to begin. I added a 12V electrical system, kept charged by solar panel, powering white overhead LED lights (night time pack up), green under-shelf LED lights (pre-dawn morning arrival or predator calling), a Power port/cell phone charges. I built out side shelves, upper storage shelves, stall mat floor and shelf liner, and window screens on the back windows. I’m pleased. This one will be miles better with the kiddos. Next I need to weld up the tower, will placing it in August. Should be an upgrade over what I have currently, and should last a while. I was so pleased with the blind I added Boss to the Weaverbilt family of vendors and I’m now a dealer. If anybody wants to talk fiberglass blinds shoot me a PM or give me a call.

That blind is awesome, nothing beats a dry, warm sit on a cold winter's day. Well done sir.

Very nice blind.
I try to get away from the electronics at the lease so I would skip the electrical on mine.

Thank you gents! Very nice blind.
I try to get away from the electronics at the lease so I would skip the electrical on mine. Yeah I hear you. But, when we have big groups at the ranch we all stay in contact via text. Burns battery pretty quick with the weak signal there, nice to be able to top off in the blind. Email gets turned off though. I want pics of how you plan to put that thing on a tower. I'll try to remember to take pics. Shouldn't be too bad, fairly light for it's size. You could sleep in that bad boy! Yes sir I plan to! Will keep a foam mat rolled up in it in case I want to catch some mid-day naps. Might get real serious and do some night sleeps as well if a spooky good buck shows up in the area. Nice blind Still planning to use the old one from time to time? Absolutely. It's moving to another good spot on the ranch in need of a stand. Truth be told, I've got a sweet spot for open stands with a good breeze and a big view. Must be an effect of growing up hunting in oak trees and tripods. That's a very nice setup! Coming from someone who has a few himself. Took some inspiration from a couple of yours.

That Boss blind is way too niceand way better than my hunting camp, warmer, drier and less rodents. If I had to sit in that thing, I wouldn't feel like I went hunting.... Adios, Gary
