Bob asked to have a birthday party at the range. We came up with a them of "come Join Bob's Zombie Squad" The Range part of the party was the "firearms qualification" to Join the Squad. He had three friends show up. They wound up shooting 40 rounds of.22 from rifles at Zombie Targets that I had printed off of the internet at 15 yards, and about 40-60 rounds of Bb's through Co2 pistols. 3 of the kiddo's (including Bob) have differing degrees of changeless and the fourth one (the only girl) I taught to shoot just before the party. I acted as the RSO and the kiddo's had to learn and obey the basic range commands, and flag their open actions before they could retrieve their targets.
As we were leaving the range to go to the city park to do hotdogs and cake, a man who has befriended Bob at the range showed up and gave him a Daisy BB / Pellet riffle that works by Co2 or pump. They only made these for three years (1993 -1996), and it was in a hard case. What a Gift!!!!
At the park we burned some dogs, and one of his friends moms made him "Brain Cupcakes" (Zombie Food) and he had a zombie Giant Cookie. He got another Hard rifle case, a range finder good out to 600 yards, Turkey Calls, a spinning .22 target. a r.c. car, and that bad A%& vintage air rifle.
All in all a very successful day and an extremely happy young man.
