I have an intense dislike for special interest lobbyist and the results of their work when it favors one group of citizens over another.

I know everyone recalls the rejection of crossbows when they asked for archery season hunting. I see this as the same trend. The manufacture calls it a bow, so bow season use will be requested. Its all theory on my half at this point.

Remember when we used to argue about tradional verses compound bows? Look how long it took to get crossbows aproved? Have hunted with all three and since i cant pull my compound back anymore with my shoulder im glad i can use my crossbow. All that matters is we can hunt with a weapon of our choice and enjoy hunting.

I don't care for it but it does have a limited range, is loud and isn't a gun. I own a crossbow but have never hunted with it but have allowed a young person to take one of my doe with it once. I just wonder why people want it to call it a "bow". It's an air gun with a different projectile. Just because it looks like an arrow doesn't make the weapon a bow.

i don't have any weapons.
i do have some firearms and archery
tackle and cutlery i use when hunting.

when they cut open my chest in the near future
i imagine i'll be looking into one of these
"airbows" for my own use. i'm thinking my
conventional archery equipment will no longer
work for me as it did in years past.

I use my firearms and archery equipment to kill. I kill animals now because I like to hunt and eat. I promise you each and every one of them can be used as a weapon in an offensive or defensive manor. You can try to be PC and hide behind terminology all you want. It won't stop them from coming for yours at the same time they come for mine.

More with the competition theory. No, just one deer season. Hunt how you want. If you think you need your own season you're hunting for the wrong reasons. It's not a competition.

I couldn't agree more. I would love to see the numbers on the percentage of recovered animals to total shot. My experience is that at least 1 in 10 are never recovered.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea
