My wife brought me a copy of The Hill Country Herald with a scathing article about the county sheriff. Man, that county cannot catch a dang break.

Oh, totally agree. If you take the article at face value, you would think "wow.. that sheriff needs to be out!" and I am sure there are issues that need to be addressed, but I looked into her facebook page and such and, while she is very much vocal about her beliefs and ideals, I really don't see where she is this evil person they make her out to be. Hell, it's in the middle of nowhere and she has a lot of ground to cover and little money to do it on.

Can't be weak-minded for that sort of job. Not saying I agree with all the stuff she is supposed to have done, but can't say I believe a lot of the crud they went on about either.

Just makes ya want to go to your ranch and hide your head so you don't get caught in the crossfire.. heh

All in all, I would always have to side with law enforcement as most folks have no idea what they have to go through to do the job they do.

I also thought all of her answers in the public responses were polite and professional. While they may or may not be that way in private, hell.. how many of us would be able to say the same? heh..

Well, after watching Hillary, I'm don't think there's anything the Dems won't do to win. Lying is no problem to those people. It's kinda like the MSM. They're nothing more than carriers of government propaganda. It's really too, because if they ever did tell the truth, you wouldn't recognize it.

Yea, I do not care about who is lying or who is not... not my concern.. but wow.. they had almost 2 pages of the local paper dedicated to that article.. you KNOW that small town has turned into a battleground.

Some of you folks in the urban world don't have a clue about the "traditions" of rural counties. Not unusual for a deputy to "hang out" at a polling place. If you are of a culture that has a generations old fear or distrust of "The Man", voting becomes a stressful experience. Doesn't happen by accident and is a regular occurrence in my county.

Preaching to the choir on this forum. My point was not to pick sides, but to point out what is clearly a rather heated issue in edwards.. heh

in my opinion, most of us do not live there so would have no clue. I feel bad for both sides that it comes down to everyone investigating everyone.
