I would like to purchase 3-4 cases of 20 ga birdshot. Any recommendations on where to purchase? Any smoking good deals that usually pop up in dead of summer?

This is my go to ammo for 12 and 20 these days. Cheap, O failures, fast and hits hard. I use it for clays and hunting.

This. It may seem counterintuitive, but the best prices can be had when the dealers order in big volumes just ahead of the bird seasons. They often use them as loss-leaders (or close to it) to get folks in the store to buy guns, other accessories, etc....

I hunt woodcock (shots tighter/shorter). The only shotgun ammo I use is Winchester AAs.

Sadly, not at the one near my house. August or December, same price. Only difference is in August they have more of it.

Online, I use gunbot.net. They don't sell ammo, just list inventories and prices. You can sort by price per round or other ways. Generates a list of brands and link to sites selling. I check about twice a week for my hard to find ammo looking for stuff on sale.
