Picked up a used CMMG MK3 a few months ago. Got her out today and noticed the FF handguard was a little loose. So I removed the flash hider, handguard, gas block and tube, and the handguard mount the goes over the barrel nut. Come to find out, the little wiggle is because the barrel but isn't properly torqued down and the barrel actually moves about 1/16-1/8 of an inch clockwise. No problem, grab AR 10 barrel nut wrench and torque wrench and torque to recommend amount. Oh but wait, now the holes for the gas tube don't line up, back barrel nut off until lined up and now barrel wiggles.
Ever spit it out rather than swallow it?
Enjoy it while you can. One day you might be complaining about NOT getting random pop-ups in the morning.
