I have some 6.8 magazines from PRI and AR Stoner. One manufactures feeds well. One fails to feed on occasion. Which one do you think hangs up, specifically hangs the case on the leading edge of the magazine?

Mag 1 is from PRI

Mag 2 is from AR Stoner

Side by side, the bright circles are the rim of the cases reflecting the camera flash.

In my Daniel Defense the Stoner is less then optimal. Nothing a Dremel can't fix...

About 2 minutes on a Dremel tool, and you are there!

Thanks for the heads up. I have a couple of the PRI waffle mags and need to buy another.

And another thing... The PRI has a welded butt joint front and rear. The Stoner, and others, have a spot welded lap joint front and rear. The lap weld on the front of a magazine can/does cut down on the OAL allowed should you reload. Factory ammo appears to not be an issue.

I'm not intending to smack talk Stoner. I just had issues with my rifle feeding and sat down and took a look at the mags trying to cypher what was different. YMMV.

Get some ASC mags and you can load out to 2.300" OAL.

I pretty much only run PRI 10 round waffle mags, same pair for 7 or 8 years
