Dalee, the X39 can be a tack driver at hog ranges around 150 yards or less. I built one on an AR platform, and can get "one ragged hole" accuracy at 100 yards, on a good day. My son can make this rig sing at 100 yards on any day of the week, so I know that when it won't group, "it ain't the arrow, it's the Indian." It's a killer caliber on hogs at shorter distances. From the autopsies I've conducted, the bullets seem to tumble, and the wound channel is really ragged and messy, and lethal! But it's not a "bean field" rifle!
