So on the bottom of the apex the factory mount is held on by looks like 4 screws. Does anyone know if there is a replacement like a larue, bobro or ADM that I can change it out for? Wanting a QD mount. I know larue makes an LT-101 riser that would work but I would like to replace the factory mount if possible.

The factory mount almost looks like the one that goes on the bottom of an acog?

Figured it out.

For those that want to know:

Ultimate Night Vision PNVM adapter + Any Acog mount (Larue, etc.) and your Apex will be QD repeatable.

Hey MDMORROW, did you actually buy one of those mounts? If so, how do you like it?

I ordered one from Ultimate Night Vision, along with the DLOC-T ACOG QD mount...over $200!

The first thing I noticed is the two parts are not a tight machined fit like I expected. The PNVM can rock side to side within the channel on the ACOG QD mount. Not something you expect in a scope mount.

The PNVM does fit the bottom of the Pulsar 50A correctly and seems like a good assembly when the screws are tightened into the Pulsar. When I tried to assemble the PNVM to the DLOC-T, with he supplied screws, I noticed a LOT of slop between the screw threads and the female threads in the PNVM...sure enough, the female threads strip out before it gets tight...this is using just an Allen wrench and my fingers. realmad realmad realmad
So much for tomorrow's range trip in preparation for next weekend's hunt.

Now I get to try out the UNV customer service to get an RMA. I'm not sure if I want to get a replacement, or if I just want to return both pieces for credit? The poor fit between the two parts and the out of spec threads make me pretty leery...if the replacement has threads like the first, I'll just be back in the same position a couple of weeks later.

popcorn Waiting to see how this turns out--as I'm also in the market for a QR mount for my Apex.

Hey I should have updated you guys. You need the UNV pulsar to acog mount adapter and the put it to the mount of your choice. I used a Larue LT100. One word of advice. If you use a Larue, install it backwards, otherwise you can't get the plug into the scope for external power and video out.

This little guy right here is what you need to hook up to the QD mount of your choice:

Yea, that is the little guy I ordered.

I filled out a request for an RMA from their website, and sent an email, about noon on Saturday. I received am email from Ultimate Night Vision today (Sunday) saying a replace was being sent out on Monday, with the RMA for the one that stripped out A Sunday response gets some pretty high marks in my book, and the are sending the replacement prior to getting the bad on back!

Yeah they're solid. I would avoid using anything but a small amount of a blue locktite when putting it together. I had to switch my mount to the other side and I had a terrible time getting the larue screws back out.

FYI shooting off this mount setup was very accurate. I sighted it in the other day and then unmounted it and put the day scope back on and then put it back on for the nighttime. No zero shift so I'm pretty pleased with the deal. Larue mounts are generally reliable and the pnvm mount was rock solid to the larue even though it doesn't mate up perfectly (there is a little space directly below it, but the edges are solid). Here's a coyote I smoked that night:

After a long call with UNV, have a replacement in hand today and have already sent the bad one back. The replacement unit screw threads are properly sized and the replacement unit is visibly a better quality. From the phone call, it sounds like they may have inadvertently shipped a pre-production sample or something.

I don't know how the mistake happened, but I will give them high marks for after sales support.

UNV is solid and stands behind what they sell.
