Was ready to pull the trigger on a new osprey 45 last night. Went to silencershop website and none in stock. After a phone call to them found out silencershop is in a contract dispute with silencerco. Apologies in advance if this was common knowledge but I just found out last night.
Can anyone recommend a good silencerco dealer in texas? Or am I better off going the gumbroker route?

Silencershop does a form 3 to you local dealer. so there is lets says 5 weeks wasted. Then the local dealer sends off the form 4. That's when the time starts.
Capital Armory when you buy it they send out form 4 for you if you are in Texas(which it appears you are). Then when the tax stamp is approved if you are CHL holder they will ship it directly to you. there are a couple of hoops to jump through. Example have to fill out the firearm transfer form(cant remember the number same one when you buy a gun) and mail it to them so they have your signature. Then they send a letter to the local LEO notifying them they are sending you a firearm. Then I believe there is a 5 day grace period from the time that letter is sent before they can mail it. Made it sound like it was about 2 week turnaround. Call them to find out more. Very friendly people I have spoken with.
I just drive to Cedar Park(Austin area) and pick it up bc I can't wait to put new toys in my hands.

I have ordered from Capitol Armory a couple of times and everything went smoothly.
I plan on trying out Lanbos Armory next. they're in Texas also and have some pretty good prices.
