Friday I'm going up to Bells from Ennis. Any good gun shops to stop in and looking around? Anyone here own/work in one?

Mostly looking for a XDs 45 but who knows. What the wife don't know....

My first pick for the experience and a lot of guns would be rifle gear in Plano. It is off the tollway 15-20 mins west of 75

Not nearly as impressive is gun gear to go in Plano off 75

Besides cabelas these some of the non chains

There is also white wing at Preston and Sam Rayburn tollway in Plano.

Bells TX - just south of the junction of Hwy 82 (east of Sherman umm 12 miles) & Hwy 69, in eastern Grayson County.

If it's not tooo far out of the way go see the THF member who's shop is in Wolfe City - off Hwy 11 just south of Bells via Whitewright & east on Hwy 11.

Biggest & Best gun shop IMO in Grayson County, is Best Pawn in Sherman. Take Business Hwy 75 aka Texoma Pkwy & FM 691 at the Sherman/Denison city line. Easyest access is via Hwy 75 north of downtown Sherman and exit east on FM 691 - at TMC Hospital & 1 mile east to deadend stop light at Texoma Pkwy.

Best Catfish Dinner you ever ate is at Hucks, a scootch further north on Hwy 75, next exit past the big Hwy 503 interchange - which is 2 exits north of the FM 901- TMC Hosptal at Loy Lake Dr. At the service road exit's stop sign in front of the liqour store, turn right/east 1 block (past the new whiskey distillery) and turn left/north to the 1st bldg on left - red brick & white trim...bring your appetite...best catfish I ever found in 33 states from Arizona to North Carolina in 40 years of being on the road.

If you are there late this Saturday afternoon, look for a dirty burgundy F150 Crew with a bed full of shelf units & junk...I'm planning a series of trips to try and finish unloading the boat storage shed to the new place in Palestine, and will never miss an opportunity to eat at Hucks.

Best pawn just built on several thousand sqft show room for their guns. Huge place. Also American armament on the corner of 82/Parkway right beside Luke's. They always have a nice selection as well.
