Can you guys post pics of bucks with their score. Going on a private land hunt with minimum of 150". The average deer are 175". I'd like see 150 to 200.

Must be a heck of a ranch to be able to provide those numbers. If they charge by the inch I'd make sure the owner wasn't also the scorer. wink

Here are 3 that I know the exact gross score (not net). Scored by official scorer. Should help you get an idea.

Eric's 175 5/8

Mark's 168 7/8

My 154 3/8

Still walking, so we can only guess. Saw him last year after Christmas.

If you scroll through and stop to check out a deer a little closer, odds are good it'll top 150.

This one went slightly less than 300 when officially scored by B&C. It was taken on the Grand Mesa in CO about 2 years ago by a friend of my cousin's son.

Not bad for a local boy hunting meat. No guide, no artificial feed, no high fence. This buck came off public land on a DIY hunt for this young man and a couple of his friends and family.

WOW !!!
What a buck!
I don't know if I could raise my rifle to shoot, much less try to steady the cross hairs, if I saw that monster.

He was. The group, my cousin's son was there and took this photo with his cell phone, were hunting elk for the most part but this young man had a deer tag as well. His buddy actually spotted the buck but couldn't see the whole thing but could see some antler and knew it was a buck. The guy with the deer tag was on the other side of the ridge so he went and got him and the deer was taken. They didn't even know how big it was until they walked up on it. It was still alive by the way and he needed to put a kill shot in. After taking the deer to the taxidermist in grand Junction he went back on the mountain to try and fill a cow elk tag. Winter's meat was the object of the hunt, not a once in a lifetime buck. I'd much rather a kid like him take the deer than some rich dude with deep pockets that hires someone like Mossback Outfitters or some other outfit.
