Found this today while perusing hog videos on the Youtube Handguns are not effective on bullet proof objects such as this "killer boar"

Why didn't he get closer and keep shooting is my question He was obviously scared - check out how long it took to squeeze of the first shot as he steadied himself  I wonder how many additional shots it took "off camera"

lol that's funny... he was bout to mess himself... even one that big cant handle a .22between the eyes... skull plate has to be facing flat to you.. if they are looking up its just gona ricochet

lol that's funny... he was bout to mess himself... even one that big cant handle a .22between the eyes... skull plate has to be facing flat to you.. if they are looking up its just gona ricochet  ...I usually shoot all mine with a little bolt action Winchester single shot using .22 shorts.....drops 'em every time.....

I normally shoot my trapped hogs with a 22 as well. Earshots!!

Hogs sure are tough...
My last one was a .308 round to drop her (upper neck/back of the head), one more in the body trying to shut her up (from the stand), finally had to get out of the stand (I was sleeping...) and (3) more rounds in the head with a .45 up close to finally end it. Squalled the whole dang time.

Yep, .22 to the flat between the eyes is good enough. But if ur too scared to get that close to a trapped hog, u prolly don't need to be trapping them

Killed 5 of them Saturday evening with a 22 pistol. They all dropped with one shot to the brain.
Already processed them and have them vacuum packed in my freezer.

A 22 short will penetrate the skull plate? I never woulda guessed that. I've been wanting to use my Ruger slabside and I have a trap like that one. But I'll carry my big gun too.

That guy is a moron you don't shoot 15 yrds with a 22 you get right up in da face. I use a 40 but I'm 2 feet away in the ear.
