So, I was out at the ranch shredding the roads this weekend and put some feed in the troughs in front of the house to see how the deer were doing. Most bucks beams have grown past their G2's right now. The deer are really looking good!
Then, there was this one buck that had me amazed. Not a particularly big buck but around a 115 class 8 pt. He is almost finished growing! June 12th and he is almost done! What gives??? Sorry, no pic but I'll try to get one this weekend if I go out there. Seems way too early for that.
I used to have a big 8 pt that was always a late grower, one of the last to grow. His beams would only be to his G2's when most of the others were done but he was my biggest buck by far. I've just never seen a buck finish so soon, maybe I'll get lucky and he'll throw some non typical points?
