Never violate a woman, nor harm a child. Do not lie, cheat or steal. These things are for lesser men. Protect the weak against the evil strong. And never allow thoughts of gain to lead you into the pursuit of evil.

There is a diferance between brave and stupid
Thank You Robert
To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, right or wrong - is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Theodore Roosevelt

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Have a buddy that did that from a tree stand. The first day a younger bear climbed the tree and tried to grab him. He had to hit him with the handle to get him to let go of the stand. Didn't put it on my bucket list after he told me the story.

Ran into a guy that supposedly hunted hogs with a spear up on a platform in a tree that was baited below. Supposed he jumped off the platform and speared the hog I did see the spear, it was a big. I would think it would be more efficient and just as deadly to use a smaller spear like the ones used by the tribes in Africa

The camera mounted on the shaft of the spear is a nice touch. The guy said "Killed a bear on the ground with a spear" which was pretty impressive, but then he added "no backup" which made me think, I'd like to try this, but if I ever did, I'd have about 3 guys behind me with really big rifles and shotguns.

"It is the same boiling water that softens the rice, which hardens the egg." It's not always about the circumstances, but what you are made of....

Why does not having a gun as backup such a big deal? I have to admit, that guy did something that isn't my cup of tea and was damn impressive, but I think you have to have some sense as well. Grizzly guides don't guide hunters without toting their own guns.
Nonetheless, dang good video

There is a diferance between brave and stupid It's a black bear.....And not a sow with Cubs. Kind of the same thing as shooting one with a trad bow. Josh Bowmar is a big dude, he was hitting a bear target at 40 yards running with a trad bow. 2x academic and athletic all American. Wouldn't mess with him. Cool he got it all on video. I'm shock he still had great accuracy with camera on spear. More power to him.
