I have the old RCBS Rock Chucker that I used for the last 25 years. Since I am having my new 14 x 14 man cave built and making a reloading station. I would like to buy a new press, but looking at a Redding. Looking for a press with perfect alignment between the shell holder and the dies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Keep that one and add some more presses. Spend the time to really work on the setup and a Rockchucker will turn out 0.000" runout with good dies and a good setup. Buy the book by Zediker, Handliading for Competition. It is full of great info on press setup and adjustment. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/096269259X?fp=1&pc_redir=T1

Whats wrong with the chucker? I have been using my dads from 25-30 years ago and my press is not my limiting factor...
I want a CoAx so i can stop dealing with shell holders, but its not a priority. Reloading wise there are other things I would rather buy...

Second the Co-Ax, I have nothing to speak ill about it. But then again, nothing wrong with your rock chucker. Maybe a progressive for plinking ammo if you go thru very much.

Especially if you're loading for a variety of cartridges. It improved my loading chores as much as an RCBS Chargemaster improves going from a hand thrower and hand trickler.

I have a 38 year old Rockchucker still going strong but I like experimenting so I also have a Forster Co Ax. I just use the Forster for any cartridges that use the smaller jaws. I also have a Redding Turret and a C&H which are both good presses.
I will have the Hornady Iron press in a few days as well. Cabelas had them on sale plus 10% off for online purchases during Memorial weekend so in a weak moment I ordered one. Now I have to figure a place to squeeze it in on the bench.

Reason I wanted to get a new one is because the ram shaft collected a good bit of rust after being idle in a humid garage close to the garage door for a few years on a shelf. Cleaned most of the rust off and used it for another 20 years, and seeing some end play on the top of the shaft. Since I saved some $$$ so it won't hurt to get a new press for my new reloading station.

Don't forget A/C and a urinal......hanging on the wall, in the open. Granger has nice ones. That will keep out the female persuasion out for sure. Hah!
