What is the "A" behind the model numbers, has it something to do with having OLED display or not?

Yes the "A" models have an LCD display. The "S" models have an OLED. I have the 38A apex scope and while the picture is excellent, you can tell the difference to the S model. They're all really good for the money.

Thank you for the information I guess that the OLED display is better at low temperature than LCD is that correct?

Probably so. I have no complaints on the LCD and I'm glad I saved the money over the OLED. I have oled in another scope and it's great but the cost difference is a lot. Don't know if temp has any factor or not. I usually pig hunt in warm weather.

Got one on Amazon. TNVC is good for higher end stuff. They have a subsidiary called Night Goggles too. That said, Ultimate Night Vision is the place. They're local to Dallas and they're good to deal with. I think the owner is on this board.

In the early days of the Pulsar product line, I think the A scopes lacked the Picture-in-Picture zoom reticle, but the current production units have it now.
I recently purchased a 50A after a lot of research and shooting though different scopes over the course of a year. The OLED was easier on the eyes, but I don't think it would make the difference between identifying a target or making a shot. It was just not worth the price difference.

I'd just go with Ultimate Night Vision. Email the fellow. He's quick to respond and very helpful.
