if you want to buy a used one go to m14forum.com lots of info on garands and lots for sale.
Otherwise if you want a new gun contact springfield armory or fulton armory
They make new ones and rather well.
GO TRUMP!

CMP. I think the service grade rifles are $700. you're welcome. Boom. WRONG! lol That's usually the correct answer, but they are currently sold out. BUT, they will probably offer them again once they are caught up on their current orders. It's happened in the past so don't fret too much. thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1-garand/

Then take another $300 and put it towards a Special.
I haven't looked at the website lately. It's surprising that there are so few liste .

Don't forget to check out the Forum on CMP for the classifieds. You're probably going to find a few exchanging hands for a pretty fair price.
The CMP Garands are superior to the Springfield Armory (Inc.) as you are going to get all USGI parts (save stock and barrel depending on which configuration). In addition, you will be getting a forged USGI receiver vs a casting. Don't get me wrong... the castings are fine, but I'd take the USGI forged receiver any day.
All of my Garands are from CMP and they have all exceeded my expectations.
