For whatever reason this camera tends to catch quite a few birds in flight each month. More so than the other two cameras I'm running. Since there's not much going on in the hunting world right now I figured I'd share some of my favorites. Camera is a Moultrie MLB-800i for those interested.

Great photos as close to sitting in a blind and watching nature happen without actually being there.

This is a classic case of what Mr. Oxner and I have stated in the past that quail and deer feeders are death traps for quail. I know that the drought in recent years contributed to the decline but I think the hawks and varmints did just as much or more damage. The proof is in the pictures.

Interesting theory... I've never really thought of that before. I do see feather piles out there from time to time but they're generally dove and not quail. I'd think the dove would be harder to catch but apparently not.

Very cool pics. up

Really like the group of hawks.

I don't buy into Mr. Oxners theory. Numerous studies have been done on healthy quail populations that determined they average a 80% mortality rate regardless of if they are hunted by humans or not. The hawks don't need a feeder to catch a quail when they want one. Bobcats as well. Quail have proven to be pretty easy pickings for these predators.
