Lots of info in this public land section and really not too far down on what you need to do to hunt hogs legally on public land.

I am itching to go myself but that canopy sure is thick and I havent found a pair of snake boots in size 17 just yet.

Like Bigfoot said, there's good info on this forum, particularly in the rifle hunting thread below.

Basically, when you get your TX hunting license, get the $48 annual public hunting permit too. You'll get a booklet that shows all the areas where you can hunt. Pay attention to the info for each area that talks about restrictions. I have seen wardens partolling and checking licenses on the WMAs many, many times.

welcome ta texasHF & ta hunting the WMA's... as others have posted theirs some good hunting on public land,,, The WMA that did my Archery deer & hog hunts tis about 90 miles south east, its been flooded though... Best Wishes flag
