I bought a couple of briskets during the big Memorial Day sale($1.68/lb). Froze 1 & frig'd the other. I was waiting for a non-rainy day to cook my frig'd brisket but no luck. So it became decision time, freeze or cook? I decided to cook. After a hard steady morning rain, I started my brisket at 1:30 in the afternoon. I ended up with an excellent looking brisket that I finally put in the frig at 1 AM. Hope to enjoy it tonight. Here's the question:

How is the best way to reheat this brisket without drying it out or otherwise ruining it?

TIA...

pan and a small amount of water with cover on it or microwave dish with lid. Pan is better imo.

Chop it up, add some Head Country, heat it in a pan and throw in on a toasted bun... grill

Easier to slice when it's cold. Slice what you want and heat it. Leave the brisket cold unless you intend to serve up the whole thing.

I always cook mine the day before, put in fridge over night, slice when cold then wrap in foil put back on smoker at 180-200 degrees for about 3 hours before serving time.

you can use beef broth to. water does not change or dilute the flavor because its such a small amount and just helps rehydrate and warm the brisket through. either way food

Another vote for a little-bit of water in a pan covered with foil for cold sliced. Heat at 275 or so for an hour. My family like it as well as fresh sliced.

Yup...keep it in the fridge. That way you can easily see the good juice cause it's like brown jelly. The clear or white stuff is the fat. After you have your chunk of meat I usually break it up with a fork on a saucer. Then put a good scoop of that jelly on top and nuke it for 30 sec or so till it's good and steaming. Get ya two slices of wonder bread, some mayo, and a thick slice of cheddar. If your bottom piece of bread doesn't end up a little mushy where your fingers were, then next time get more jelly!
