I am looking a getting a suppressor and was wondering what type of trust is best? Do I have to do anything such as file it, after its notarized? How do I transfer the suppressor to the trust? I assume that's done when I go to the dealer fill out the form 4. Any other pointers or advice is welcome.

This man can answer all your questions and get you taken care of. I did some looking and thinking when I was looking for what to do for a Trust and without a doubt Chris Bass has the best reputation I could find in Texas:

Chris Bass
The Bass Firm, PLLC
PO Box 92429
Southlake, Texas 76092
christopherbass01@gmail.com

You want an Revocable Living Trust. Chris will take care of everything, you just have to get it notarized when he provides the trust document to you. It does not have to go back to him after it is notarized. When you purchase the suppressor they will indicate on the e form (or the paper form if you go that route - but e forms are quicker) the information for your Trust you've setup.

You can use something like Quicken's Living Trust or whatever it's called and set it up yourself, but I opted to spend a bit more for some security and peace of mind. If for any reason your trust should be determined to not be legal down the road, that means your NFA items are in violation and each one is a 10 year count against you. So to me it was worth the $300 to go with a reputable lawyer that's well known in the firearms community.

I used Cole Bryan in Fort Worth. He's well known for doing NFA Trusts.
