I've been seeing hogs about an hour before dark while getting ready to night hunt. I decided to bring my longbow along and try to get within range. The wheat is still fairly tall making my approach easier than normal. I got somewhere around 20 yards to a group of young hogs - and let the spruce arrow fly!! Nailed the first little boar right behind the shoulder, the little sow stopped right where I shot the boar so I let the air out of her tires both piled up about 8 yards apart. These were my first longbow kills, not too bad and an absolute great hunt.. Fun times!
