I love the walnut and feel on this weatherby. Im considering grabbing one of these before dove season. Anyone have experience with this gun?

I have one that I've used for dove and pheasant for about 8 years and really like it. I looked at about 10 different autoloaders before I purchased. It just fit me better than the others. At the time I got mine they weren't very popular and I got a pretty good deal. Same gun now is $200-300 more than I paid.

I have the synthetic version and have really liked it. No problems and shoots good, clean it every 5,000 rounds whether it needs it or not. would not hesitate to get another.

Thanks! They feel really good. I just get nervous about the turkey deal. All my other guns start with a "B"

Arbor, where are you located? I'm in Lubbock but get to Mills county quite a bit. You'd be more than welcome to shoot mine if you'd like.

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Dallas. I call myself Arbor guy b/c I build them for a living. May just need to take the leap of faith. I have some cabelas gift cards so I can go snag one pretty quick and only pay for part of it.

I have a 20 gauge 26" Upland. It is a great shotgun. Cabela's does not sell the Upland, just the Deluxe, Synthetic and Max-5 Camo.

Looks like you and I would get along Booradley. I'm a shotgun junkie!

Hey Booradley, how do you like those Franchi's? I've actually been wavering between getting a walnut Affinity and the Weatherby walnut. (Obviously leaning Weatherby due to weight, looks of the walnut, and cost). But curious about your opinion since you own both...Actually it looks like you own every shotgun I would like to own! This would be my gun for dove and clay.

I like both but and shoot them equally well. The Affinity and SA-08 have the same DAC(1.5") and DAH(2.25") which is what fits me best. If I had to choose I'd take the SA-08 because of the recoil - I've had three shoulder operations. Since that picture was taken I've added an SA-08 Waterfowler and a FABARM L4S. The FABARM is my favorite of all the shotguns I've ever owned. I think the SA-08 is the best bang for your buck semi-auto shotgun you can buy followed by the Affinity.
