I have an opportunity to get on a lease near Cisco(Eastland Country) located South of 20. Has anyone hunted this area lately, thoughts, results, etc. I would love to get some input on the area. Let me know and thanks for your time.

Tough area, a lot of hunting pressure so most deer are nocturnal. JMO>

I'm about 10 miles south of Cisco and a little to the east. Small place, 77 acres. Food plot was by far the key to my success. I planted 3 acres of oats/winter peas. My wife got a really nice 10 point and I also got a 10pt. We saw more deer in the evenings than the mornings. Both bucks killed out of food plot and never walked near feeder. Once the acorns started falling I turned the feeder way back and still had corn piling up under it.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

We hunt another +/-10 miles south of you, but the 'right' oak tree is better than my best feeder in our neck of the woods when the acorn drop hits. I think the big boys are 'feeder shy' unless there is a hot doe in the pen. I would say a 130" gross B&C deer is a 'solid' LF deer for the area. Deer density is spotty, IMO.
We have definitely had an uptick in hog activity. Most hunters seem to be trying to let the herd get some age on it. If nothing else, ARs have made guys think twice about shooting a borderline deer.

There are some good ones running around but volume will be low in most places
