Cool pics! Hope they won't be too much of a bother.
Mason is still pretty rural. I would not be surprised if you saw a lot of wildlife.

There are a lot of Javelina in the Mason Mountain wildlife area. They often escape through the high fence. Good chance they came from that area

Well, I see parts of north central Texas were part of the former habitat. I just hadn't realized they had ever been that far north. Always good to learn something.

I've lived in Mason for 20 years and have never seen one before. We live close to Comanche Creek, so we get lots critters coming up out of the creek bed: bobcats, possums, raccoons (GALORE!), skunks, turkey, feral hogs, and, now, javelina. It's a jungle out there; or in here, as the case appears to be. . .

We shot 2 javelina a couple years back on our place in Cisco. We thought they were 2 small hogs until we walked up to them. We had a full body mount done on one of them and the taxidermist did the same on the other one for his display. The taxidermist wasn't sure what to do with them since we didn't have any tags. So he called the game warden for us who didn't believe him at first since they aren't supposed to be anywhere near the area. The GW was nice about it though and said don't do it again but let him mount both of them.
