We have been seeing pigs now for the better part of 2 years around the feeders only at night according to game cams, haven't been lucky enough to have them come out while we were in stand. Well Friday night we were down in the "bunker" of our cabin and just finished up a movie when my brother walks down and says the green lights are going off... So we formulate a game plan and figure that two of us would go with a 20 gauge slug and .22 semi rifle. I stayed back to watch through the binoculars, So they creep up to about 30 yards (favorable wind) and one big boar took a shot behind the ear and was quickly followed up with a 20 gauge slug. Not bad for our first pig since we started going after them.
Just gotta question the sanity of a guy that goes out at night without a shirt on in this mosquito infested land....as soon as I step out of my truck I am hammered by the blood suckers, lose a pint nearly every trip to the lease. How is that guy not getting carried away by the zika infested monsters?
....Believe it or not buckeye they weren't that bad. Definitely a lot of rain I know our stock tank is full and usually when that happens we know they are gonna be terrible. usually as soon as we step out of the truck it's hell... but i think we just got lucky this past weekend.
