I hunt a ranch in eastern OK. I was told when i started hunt there that eastern OK deer would not eat corn (yes i laughed)
well my son and i put up 2 feeders and cameras. All season long i had "1" buck on camera. my son had 3. Plenty of deer, see them all time. corn piled up inside fence. Moved my feeder yesterday loaded it with rice brand, corn and put out proten block. May get some sweet feed to sprinkle around,

anyone else hunt Eastern OK. ?

Is Ft. Towsen considered East OK?? My brother kind of inherited his fil place, 250 some odd acres. I don't hunt it hardly at all, but did years ago before my brothers BIL passed. Seemed a food plot drew more deer for us vs corn. Corn did bring in some turkey;s though. He has always had more trouble with poachers and thieves vs getting deer to come in it seems.

I would call Ft. Towson DEEP & DARK eastern OK I am At McAlester. Food plot won't work, working cow & calf operation. Owner does live on ranch.

We had to put up a hot wire to keep the cows out, only had a total of about 5 ac planted though in 2 separate spots.

I hunted north East Oklahoma for couple decades.
Two things. Was successful with White Oak acorn season and Alfalfa fields. Other then that just have to find pinch points. Persimmon flats would be my third option

You arent lying about the White Oaks!! and they are some nice, str8, tall one's. Prior to my brother getting the place, his fil contracted some company to harvest tree's, you haven't seen a mess until you see what those AH leave behind, over ten years and it is still hard to get through the low growth and left over branches.

I lived in Ft. Towson and had so many white oaks the deer came to them in droves....when the acorns are gone, the deer will go to feeders...also I kept one corn feeder going year round with one second dispensing time so they always knew where corn is...it also helped turkey population thrive.
