This little lady dropped her fawn in my hayfield yesterday.
I was drinking coffee and looking out the patio door when I saw the doe stand up just across the fence.
She was cleaning her new baby!
In a few minutes, she started walking towards the woods, stopping every few feet to look back.
A little later, when she made it to the shorter hay, I could see a set of tiny ears following her.
They got to the edge of the field and I managed to catch them with the camera.
Sorry for blurry pic, when I opened the patio door to take the pic, they took off.

Cheers,
Vern1

Saw one in my front yard, squatting way too long to just be peeing when I headed out to church this morning. I told her not to drop it there, but I don't know if she was listening. There's a gate across the front. We let the dogs out the front occasionally and it creates a real rodeo with me yelling at the hounds and the fawn getting terrified.

Saw our first one today also. Need to start carrying the camera with me.

Yes, it's a good year!
I have pics of 7-9 very fat does at the feeders over the last few weeks.
Just looking at those girls, you could tell it wouldn't be long.

I had a doe drop a set of twins yesterday morning in the field in front of the house. Then this morning on my way to the gate I saw two more does cleaning up their just dropped fawns. Four in a span of about 24 hours. And that's just ones I saw and I wasn't really looking. How fun!
