I have a feeder just for hogs, but they keep rooting it so much it becomes a small pond underneath the feeder.

I've considered building a deck and placing the feeder on it to keep the wallows from developing. Any of you all ever tried this? Got any other ideas?

Keep in mind the feeder is just for pigs, I don't use it to attract deer.

This is natural for this type of animal' build deck, pour concrete, use rocks, put out table and chairs with umbrellas banana keep moving feeder, have a lot of extra dirt

Cattle Panel will keep the from dishing it out any further. May want to back fill enough to get it level first.

For a permanent solution, back fill most of the way then pour a concrete topper on it. No more wallowing.

I have a feeder that is just for hogs too. They love the puddle under it, my wife calls it the piggy puddle because she has shot many pigs why they were rooting around in it (then I get to drag them out). I have got pictures of them sleeping, rolling, eating and breeding in it. I will only move the feeder a bit when it becomes unstable. I wouldn't change a thing, pigs love a puddle. It is an attractant itself.
I do like cattle panel idea for feeders that we hunt deer at.

They are shaking the feeder to get the corn, which falls strait down under the feeder. I would recommend you invest in a method to shut off the corn.
The cornbank, HCR FSO, The Eliminator spinner plate or spinteck spinner plate all do this.

I prefer the FSO but thats my product.

All of our short feeders have the FSO an we are seeing no rooting under the feeders dispite having between 10 & 20 hogs there a night. All the products I listed should do the same thing.
