Need some help guys! I’m searching for 2 spots on a existing or new deer lease for my father-in-law and myself. We were on our previous lease for 16 years. We are only leaving this lease because the family has decided to sell after the death of the owner. We had and maintained an excellent relationship with the landowner and other hunters on the lease, I was the foreman. We follow the rules, take care of the land, close the gates, manage the animals, and don’t abuse the privilege of hunting. Typically we both shoot a doe to fill our freezers and only shoot bucks that are going to be mounted or that are determined to be a cull. I did not realize how difficult that it would be to find another lease. We live in the Dallas area, have trailers, blinds, feeders, stoves, everything needed for a quality camp. We are searching to join another group that has a couple of spots, we would like to spend between $1-2K per hunter max. I’m willing to be interviewed, etc. I understand the importance of finding the right fit for your place, it’s where we relax and spend our down time, no one wants to spend that time with jerks.
