most expensive gun ever sold @ auction..Win. model 1886 45-70 sold for $1.265 million, considered the rarest ever sold @ Rock Island Auct., serial no 1, the rifle was gifted to U.S. Army Capt.Henry W. Lawton following the raid that led to Geronimo's capture.

Saw that. Very neat. Economy is good, prices are high for high end collectible guns. There have been pairs that have sold for even more.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Here is a set of 1911's made out of a meteorite for a price tag of 4.5 Million for the pair. LINK I wonder if those pistols are safe to fire. Meteorites are mostly iron. Doesn't seem like they could handle the pressure.

Looks like the barrel and chamber are made of steel, I personally wouldn't touch one off if I spent 4.5M on them LOL. Of course if I had 4.5M to blow on a pair of guns I'd probably not care and shoot the hell out of em..
