What are you most looking forward to and what do you hunt the most? popcorn
I have dove and duck hunted in the past, but they don't come anywhere near deer/exotic hunting, for me. Sorry for the wild quail hunters, I didn't include.

I'm most looking forward to...

I look forward to dove season the most because that one starts it all.

Dove hunting...the most accessible since I hunt 1/2 mile from where I work. Off work and right in middle of great hunting.

I start getting the fever for deer when I start seeing bucks putting on new antlers and does start dropping fawns ... have for over 50 years. Been duck hunting a few times but don't care much for the meat. I love to dove and quail hunt and makes for fine table fare but the rest of the family isn't overly excited about eating it (at least dove anyway). Never had much opportunities for exotics but the few I have had the chance to eat were mighty fine. Whitetail deer and Elk get my blood to moving, tastes great, family enjoys them plus I can sit and watch them for hours without even considering taking a shot.

My wife does not understand how I can go sit all day or most of a day in a blind, tree, tripod, truck, etc. watching deer, or sometimes not seeing a thing ... but if the fish aren't biting, I am done in 15-30 minutes.

I didn't pull any tags in Co or NM and we passed on Montanas extra mule deer tags so I'm all about quail and pheasant this season. I have a new source for wagu beef fat so I'm kind of looking forward to sticking some deer to make some completely organic ground with the best beef fat there is. Going to be some great stuff.

Of coarse I can't wait to dove hunt. I got my pup sitting and healing already. Going to start working her on hand signals next.

Dove. Never would have thought I'd say that but living out here has made me a fan.

Summer axis really get me going. We hunt year round and the biggest lull is between Spring turkey and summer Axis.

I'd be more jazzed about hunting exotics if I had the funds to do so!! LOL.. I night hunt hogs all yr round minus during deer season.. But to me the anticipation of opening day of deer season is hard to beat!!

Year round as well, with axis high on the hitlist, but low on the successes.

Honestly, I hunt exotics more than I hunt whitetail.

I can miss opening day of deer season, duck season, elk season, even mule deer season and be ok, but if I miss opening day of dove season I am a real mad mofo

I'm excited about hunting whitetail with the kids. I'm very excited about chasing mule deer and shooting some ducks this go around.

Exotics are opportunity species for me. I was after a big sika with my bow last year that just wasn't meant to be. He has been shot at by 3 different hunters and has so far lived to bugle about it, but I just don't get excited about them like I used to. You kill enough of them it's just like anything else

I dont care about exotics, as Im the one having to pay for them and I cant justify the price people want for them. Same with a deer lease, so I hunt large game out of state and just look at quail, pheasant, and chuckar here in texas.

You may work for them in some form or fashion but your not paying for vehicles, home, bills, etc and then having to shell out $300-$400 for a meat hunt or $1500+ for a horn hunt

You make good decisions with your money as an adult though you will be able to hunt plenty.

When I was 21-22 I could have done a nice trip to Africa with what I spent partying

I look forward to my grandson growing out of the "Jimmy legs" so he can sit with me in the blind (for just a little bit). Still a couple of years off I reckon. He's 4. His baby sister might turn out to be the real killer.

I have never tried exotics. Bird hunting would be cheaper and more convenient, but it's just not my bag. Love those white tail.

I love to hunt Exotics every summer and I normally dove hunt several times as well. I try to get out and photograph some WT every fall/winter as well.

Like many hunters on here I hunt deer every day in my mind and as often as I can in the field! Interesting survey.
