I sometimes carry a NAA 22Mag revolver when I can't carry anything else. I've seen a couple of the Bond Derringers and was wondering if anyone on THF carried one and how they liked it?

In an earlier post I reported about a 100# trigger pull on the .45-.410 one I shot.
Built ;like a tank though, very high quality

One of our lease member's has one. Killed many a snake with it. Recoil isn't as bad as I was expecting, even though I refer to it as the "pocket rocket"

Why?? They weigh about 9 pounds, are expensive, and there's only two rounds. Buy an air weight smith, lcp, glock, vaquero, full size 1911, desert eagle.. there are way better choices out there for carry.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I carried one for several months. It was ok but its as big as most compact semi autos and only carries 2 rounds.

Bunch of bad info on this post.....100 lb trigger pull.. come on. 9 lbs....how about 1.3 lbs. Try firing shotshells with a glock or lc9. Great weapon and made in Texas.

Like I said in the beginning, I carry an NAA 22mag when I can't carry my Kahr 40 or my LCP. But I was interested in the 45 as you could load up some 410 Defensive ammo, plus I've got plenty of 45 and 357/38 ammo. Another plus would be the SD ammo that is made in 45/38+p. Thanks for the replies and keep them coming.

Derringers are fun but as a carry I prefer something with more than two rounds and default to my 380. As far as a snake gun while hunting, I find it to be vey practical.

That was in reference to it weighing 9 lbs. I would guess it close to 20 lbs pull on the trigger

I've handled many bond arms and while they are a fine weapon, I don't really like the bulkiness of them compared to other derringer style pistols. For alot less $$ Cobra makes a great product that performs nothing short of a bond arms and a bit smaller. For defensive purposes, I've always considered them a backup to my main sidearm or just one to throw in my pocket on a hot summer day when I'm out and about. When it's the only one I have, the 2 shots are much better than a slap in the face.
