One of my favorite meals is Gravy over Mashed Potatoes. I have been trying to figure out what the best recipe would be for Deer Sausage and I think I found the one I like. Here it is:

1 Lbs Deer Ground Deer Sausage
1/2 Cups Chopped White Onion
1/2 Cups Chopped Bell Pepper
1/2 Cups BBQ Sauce
3 Cloves Minced Garlic
1 Package Pioneer Brand Brown Gravy
2 Cups Water
1 Table Spoon Chile Powder
1/2 Table Spoon Paprika
Salt and Pepper to taste
Oil

1. Oil the bottom of a deep skillet
2. Place the skillet on Medium High
3. Brown the Onions and Peppers
4. Once the Onions and Peppers have cooked down add the deer sausage and garlic
5. Season the deer sausage with salt and pepper
6. When the deer sausage is browned add the BBQ Sauce, Chili Powder, and Paprika
7. Add 1 1/2 Cups of water to the skillet
8. In a bowl mix 1/2 Cups water and Gravy Mix and stir with a wisk until dissolved
9. When water comes to a boil add in Gravy Mix and rest of water
10. Bring to a boil while stirring
11. Reduce heat and let simmer

Eat over mashed potatoes.

What kind of BBQ sauce are you using? Sweet, Spicey, ect ???

I use a sweet one.
