I have a property with 4 duck projects on it. All the water structures drain from one to the other and then into drainage canal along the road.

The property has an easement on it for an underground pipline. The company put one in late last year. In doing so the line crossed my property and has blocked all my drainage to the road.

The easement is there and they paid some one for it, but can they block the natural drainage of my place? Under ground is under ground. The land only has 1 ft of fall for 3600 ft.

My place is holding water bad. Even with all the boards out of the riser boxes my ponds are all full. It's backing up onto neighbors place now with all the rain and he is pissed because it's soaking milo crop in his feild.

I need to be mowing, disking, and spraying to plant but can't get anything in there because it's so wet.

What recourse do I have, if any?

Move some dirt. I had to clean up after the pipeline crew to repair my back forty.

They should have to put it back to original condition. Call them and complain

Can you get a copy of the original easement paperwork? Hopefully there is/was are restrictions and descriptions on how the land has to be left.

They made a mess here too. I did call them and tell them I could no longer mow because of the rocks they left and and they need to put grass back in to stop the erosion. The nice lady sent out a crew and cleaned it all up. I put the finishing touches on it and now you can't tell it was ever messed up.

definitely make a call, and I would like to think that they would come out and get it fixed remotely fast. i'd be sure to let them know its backed out into the neighbors milo field...might give them a little extra initiative. someone calling because duck ponds are full of water might get blown off. Depending on the size and quality of the milo field, getting filed on for destroying a milo field could cost a little.

Make the call, the pipeline company I have dealt with always fixed the problems.

Call and talk to them. They don't like problems any more than we do. It could be as easy as that.
