Know Blacksmith Andrew makes some tomahawks not sure about ball-pein but bet the man could make one. Have one of his from a rasp and it is very nice work.

Try Google using: Ball peen tomahawks did a quick search and all kinds of info came up makers/videos/images

I used to make a bunch of them years ago. Those rascals were really tough and held a good edge. I made them as Hawks, trappers axes with a small pick for digging on the backend, picks, gut hooks on the back side and other designs. Made a batch for a French foreign legion group, some of our special groups. Not anymore but they were sure fun to play with back then.
Just have them watch that temper cause most leave them too hard, have them draw it back to a possum ear blue temper.
