after I read the Beavers post about this years season sucking I decided to sale some things that a recovering waterfowler just doesn't need anymore. Well last night I spoke with our local DU chapter president and he assured me that the money is going to good projects and we will have a good season. Seeing how this guy is a president of a DU chapter I have to go with his line of thinking...sorry beaver, you got trumped

long story short I am in the market for a new boat, and thanks to ducknbass I may have found a winner...no one likes having to hook up a trailer to their new powerstroke (nothing worse then a dent in the bumper or license plate), so what wold be better than a boat you can fold in half and put in the bed? with a bedliner you wouldn't even have to worry about scratches up

thoughts?

fold and go boat

Seems like a no brainer to me. Ill keep my eye out for a good prodrive to mount onto that rig.

It seems like a good idea, but you know how people say riveted hulls leak very bad, I could just imagine a boat that folds in half

People, heavy 4 stroke motor, dog, rigged decoys, blind or layouts, ducks, shells, other gear, and when wet, you would really be pushing the carrying capacity for these. A guaranteed fail on choppy Texas Lakes overloaded with a square bow.

I had a 14ft Jon boat w a Dilley hinge pin trailer, man u could put it in anywhere. Add a 20hp outboard and we were hunting when others could not. I've done crazy things to launch boats and get em back on trailers. High water low water isn't stopping me

Congratulations!

Make sure you buy a sturdy trailer to haul your boat to North Kansas, where the majority of ducks will be this season.

170 or 190 just for the boat without motor. Once rigged thats going to be a lot of weight to carry very far. Drag a riveted boat much, it's going to start leaking at some point.you will need a boat cart.

You just need to hook up with a woman that owns some lake front property on a ducky reservoir.

Yah you should get one, I'll help you paint it. I have an old boat I'm going to have retitled this summer and fixed up. If you don't buy a folding boat, I'll take you on a hunt sometime.
