Shot one of the Crossman Air Bows today, first impression this is a loud "bow", makes an Excalibur without any noise dampening on it seem quite.

Not sure about the actual speed but it is fast with an advertised 450fps with the only arrows available for it now weighing an advertised 375 grains with the few I weighed being 370fps. Penetration in the target might have been a little deeper than I get with a 65lb compound using arrows weighing 390 on the skinny Victory Vap arrows.

The pump to charge the air cylinder is a lot of work. The reservoir in the bow gets pumped up to 3000psi with a bicycle type pump and takes a while. You can use an air tank to fill the reservoir making it easier to fill. Pump and external tanks are sold separately.

Trigger pull is long but not overly heavy 2 stage.

Currently in Texas hogs are the legal game for the air bow

Been thinking about a crossbow for my uncle, maybe I'll recommend him this instead. peep

I'm surprised about the pump being work. When Jim shocked shot that buffalo with one everything looked easy.

The 3000psi air reservoir is the pain to fill, then you are good for 8 to 10 pretty much full power shots before topping it off again. To make it ready for those shots it is very easy like shown in Shockey's video. You are good to go hunting with one the reservoir charged and ready.

Like a crossbow the easiest way to unload it is to shoot it.
