Everytime it rains this one gets flooded. Had to switch the motor on the feeder today in several inches of water, and the surrounding land is soaked and under some water as well. I think I have a good dry spot to place the pen, just got to let the feeder empty out to make the move easier. Couple weeks and this guy gets a new home.

I'd leave it, summer is about here and predictions are for a drier fall/winter,

That's the feeder a "swamp buck" will use I think Navasot has some that you can fish off of sometimes

Charlie This is the first year on the place and this feeder was set up with little knowledge of the place/deer routes, etc....I have been thinking it needed moved anyway, and then with the recent rains I have made up my mind, it is getting moved.

Is there a way you could maybe dig a little to trench to help it drain faster?

Not trying to discourage your move, but do you have pigs? Ya' might end up with a small lake under your feeder no matter where you move it.

You must have lots of activity at the feeder judging by how deep they've worn the ground down. If you have tractor and a single bottom plow available you can dig a trench to drain the water in about a minute flat.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

WE had a similar situation at a feeder. The deer would eat the corn from the water before the corn out of the water.

Appreciate everyone's responses. As for digging a trench, it would be pointless. The ground all around the feeder is all under several inches as well. Would not even drive my truck back there right now for fear of getting stuck in mud, and some places it almost was mid-calf deep. So a trench will only allow more water in I fear. Plus, I have no tractor to do that with anyway.
Second, hogs initially created the deep center. There are lots of hogs in the area. I have killed 5 off this feeder in around a month and that was only two sittings. Plenty more, but so far they are gone while the grass is green and the place is flooded. I have had deer there the last two nights, first night before the rain and last night was deep but the deer still ate some corn, so I know they will eventually eat it.
But, after 2 inches of rain in a short timeframe, I went out and scouted places that were not wet, and there was some high ground close by where I could easily set up this feeder pen and keep it out of flooded ground. Also some trees by there to hang a stand for the fall. plus I think the new location would be better for deer routes. Also at this new place since it is elevated and the surrounding ground isn't flooded, I could trench out a drain line if the center does get dug up again by hogs.
This feeder was set up in late march of this year. hogs were tearing it up early on.

How do you still have a hog problem if you have a pen set up? I understand that they still move through the property but they shouldn't be making it home if your not feeding them

They were able to use some wet weather to root under the panels. NO joke. They were squeezing through a very small area but the hogs themselves were decent size. I am hoping the rest of the hogs in the area will not have learned that trick, but it seemed one hog led them and the rest followed. Since I shot the pack of 5 that were doing it, I have not had hogs hit the feeder.

What is in the cage of the feeder? Probably seeing the solar charger. I have it just laying on the cage. Has worked well doing that.

How do you still have a hog problem if you have a pen set up? I too assumed this was a deer pen which was supposed to keep the hogs out. If hogs have dug that deep of a hole, that fast, you need to address your pen issues and I would relocate the feeder inside the pen. My perspective was not to move the entire pen given the exceptionally rainy weather we've had over the past year. Charlie
