barrel fitment issue

I have a sig scorpion 1911, i ordered a sig replacement thread barrel. i fit right in, but wont allow the slide to come back. I have been told the barrel needs fitted and Sig wants money and alot of time. anyone local here do abunch of 1911 barrels and could offer some help?

I would talk to the local gunsmith. Anybody who works with 1911's should be up to speed on fitting a barrel.
Always try the nearest gunsmith first, somebody that you can visit personally. - Just ask if they work on 45 autos when you call. Explain that you have a new barrel that needs to be properly fitted.

You might try a shorter toggle link if you haven't already eliminated that as a cause.
