Guys,

I recently lost my polymer handled folding Puma knife. I used it to carry/skin/quarter/cape game. In my experience it was always reliable and sharp.

Any Puma guys out there? What's yalls' thoughts on them? Like yours? Should I go that route again?

I'm going to go fixed this time.

Also anybody feel free to throw out some suggested other brands/craftsmen to look into.

Thanks yall

Puma ‘Skinner’ and a Puma ‘Duke’ in this group.

Those two along a caping knife and cleaver/skinner by KOA, covers everything I’ve ever needed.

Puma are some very good knives. Had one stolen from the truck (I hate Thieves) never replaced it but miss that knife.

These days Benchmade are great knives, Knives of Alaska are also very good.

Some of my favorite knives were made by forum members.

Flint - that skinner has definitely caught my eye before.

Looking into benchmade and KOA as well. Liked my PUMA and the german steel but noticed some of the SGB knives are assembled in China - Figured somebody would chime in about that?..

I would go with Benchmade. I got one for Christmas and it really holds an edge.
